In an interview on Newsmax.tv, Roger Stone stated that Palin made the right move by resigning as Governor of Alaska. Stone says due to the assault from the Liberal media, there is nothing positive that could have come from her staying in office. Since she has a national following, leaving this position gives her the ability to correct the public perception regarding her image.
I think that Stone is way off base here. Palin quitting office only shows that she doesn't have the strength and regard for the state to stand up to the political heat. I don't know how this could possibly show that she is strong enough for possibly an even higher position on the National stage. If Palin made this move to get her own TV show on Fox, then maybe her jumping off the ship early will benefit her financially.
Roger Stone basically says this entire move will let Palin remake herself into the "Conservative Oprah".
