Here is an insightful and hilarious take on today's upcoming elections by Jon Stewart. The elections covered in this clip are the New York race for mayor in which Mike Bloomberg should win comfortably. Also discussed is the vote for governor in New Jersey between Chris Christie and Jon Corzine and some of the fat jokes that occurred in that campaign. All of that only leads to the highlight of the clip however.
Stewart talks about the race for New York's 23rd district which has a new Conservative candidate that is making a push for the seat. Doug Hoffman recently entered the campaign and gained the support of some strong "leaders" in the GOP, mainly Sarah Palin. When I saw the video of Hoffman it made all the sense in the world that Palin would back this Reagan Conservative. Hoffman has about the same poise and charm as Bobby Jindal. I think it's safe to say that if Palin decides to back a candidate or an issue, 9 times out of 10 it's a hilarious disaster in the making.

The saddest part about all of this: Right now the race for the 23rd district is still a tight one.
