GOP Senator Can't Explain Why the GOP is So Harsh on Obama's Slow Terrorist Response But Wasn't Towards Bush

Republican Senator Mike Conaway was on MSNBC today and asked about the GOP's criticism of Obama for taking three days before making a statement on the attempted terrorist attack on Christmas Day. When President Bush was in office it took him six days until he made a public statement regarding the shoe bomber Richard Reid. When this point was brought to the Senator's attention he couldn't muster together any type of answer to the hypocritical nature of the Republican reaction. Conaway simply danced around, brought up the attack at Fort Hood and moved on to say he simply wants to keep the country safe against terrorists.

This is a typical reaction from a Republican politician when they get backed into a corner with a valid question. They simply open up the book with all their talking points and begin discussing how the country is not safe enough. All I have heard the past week or so is how airline security just delays everybody without doing anything to actually stop the terrorists. While I agree it is a pain in the ass to go through airport security, I don't see how Obama taking office completely changed the name of the game when it comes to TSA inconveniencing passengers. That won't stop the GOP though. They will keep moving their fearmongering train full speed ahead looking for any opportunity to make a complete bullshit remark.
